Implant-Supported Dentures are dentures that are anchored to dental implants placed in your jawbone.
Unlike traditional dentures that just "sit" on your gums and can slip or move, implant-supported dentures snap securely onto the implants.
They feel much more stable, allow you to eat and speak comfortably, and protect your jawbone from shrinking over time.
There are two main types:
Bar-retained dentures – A thin metal bar connects to the implants, and the denture clips onto the bar.
Ball-retained dentures (Locator dentures) – Each implant has a small ball-shaped attachment that fits into sockets on the denture.
Quick benefits:
No slipping or clicking sounds when you talk or eat
Much stronger bite force (eat harder foods easily)
More natural feel compared to regular dentures
Helps preserve jawbone health
